i plan to try the same when my g750 arrives. will keep you posted.

This computer was bought from a local store as a finished build configuration for less than 500 Euros. I didn’t intend to create Hackintosh so I didn’t care about components at first, but computer had a some kind of BIOS error and I couldn’t shutdown from ubuntu 12.04, than I tried Ubuntu 10.04 with the same result. After that I tried Windows 7 and computer was still unable to shutdown.

Then I read on some forum that fix is to put out and back BIOS battery. And voila computer was able to shutdown like normal. Interesting thing is that this happened on a new mainboard, with the default BIOS settings… so I asume it’s a some kind of Asus mainboard bug.Anyway at the end I found out that my components, Main board ASUS – P8B75-M LX, Graphics card Nvidia GTX 650 and Intel i3 3220CPU, are 100% compatible with Os X 10.8 so I decided to give it a try… lucky me 🙂

Computer Specifications:
Mother Board: ASUS – P8B75-M LX bios 0606, Intel® B75 Chipset, integrated audio VIA VT1708S, integrated network Realtek® 8111F-VB-CG LAN chip.
CPU: Intel i3 3220, 3.3GHz / 3MB Intel HD 2500 Graphics (not used cause as far as I know for now it’s not supported by Os X )
Graphics Card: MSI Nvidia GTX 650 1GB GDDR5
HDD SATA III WD Blue 500GB (connected via SATA III 0 port)
1×4 GB 1333MHz DDR 3 Ram memory
USB keyboard and mouse

Requirements:
– Mac Os X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (download from app store, or try search torrents if just wanna test if your system is capable to run Os X. Os X Mountain Lion costs only 20$, so buy it…)
– USB drive 8 GB or more
– Audio Driver (VIA VT1708S)
– Network Driver (Realtek® 8111F-VB-CG)
– myHack
– Kext utility

This tutorial is for educational purposes only. You, of course, assume all responsibility for choosing to follow this tutorial. Also, OS X EULA states that you can run Lion on Apple labeled hardware only.

First of all you will need to create your Bootable Mountain Lion USB Installer. Follow this tutorial to find out how to create bootable Mountain Lion USB installer using myHack.

Once you create myHack USB installer navigate to /Extra folder and change org.chameleon.Boot.plist like below (before editing, copy file to your desktop, and when edited save it and copy back to Extra folder to replace the old file)

Asus

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>dart=0</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Note : For MSI GTX 650 change GraphicsEnabler from Yes to No in /Extra folder (for other Graphics cards maybe you can leave it as it is).

Unplug any hard disk, except one you are using for OSX install… The same thing is with PCI cards, remove any PCI cards except your graphics card.

Plug in your ML USB Installer in USB 2.0 port (do not use USB 3.0 ports).

Start computer and go to your BIOS by pressing del key at boot.

UEFI BIOS Settings:
With default settings, in Advanced mode under Sata Configuration select Sata as AHCI, the rest is optional but you should consider to enable Intel Virtualization Technology under Advanced / CPU settings.
F10 to Save UEFI BIOS and exit.

Again at boot press F8 and select your USB disk as boot device

Installation should start quickly, select your language, agree to the terms and from the top menu select Disk Utility. Here you should see all hard drives connected to your computer. Pick the one you want to install Mountain Lion on and select the Partition tab. In options select GUID Partition Table then choose Mac OS Extended Journaled as the format and name it HDD or whatever u like. Then click Apply.
Close Disk Utility and go through the installer. When it comes to the install screen just pick your HDD and then click install. This will take some time so be patient. At the end of installation, you will be notified by myHack to select your dsdt, use myHack default (This new generation of motherboard uses UEFI Bios so DSDT.aml in not needed anymore), and after that delete ApplePolicyControl.kext, AppleTyMCEDriver.kext and AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext from your HDD (backup will be created inside of /Extra folder called RemovedExtensions).

After installation finishes reboot back into myHack USB drive using F8 key. At Chameleon boot select your HDD to boot from instead of ML Installer, type “dart=0 -f″ without quotes (just in case) and then continue with your boot.

At the OS X first boot don’t select network when asked about internet connection otherwise you will be returned at the start of the conversation.

Asus Os Download

When Os X ML starts go to Applications / System Preferences / Security & Privacy, unlock it to make changes and under General tab select Allow applications downloaded from Anywhere.

Replace org.chameleon.Boot.plist file from /Extra folder on your HDD with the one from /Extra folder on the myHack USB (the one you edited before).

Download (if u didn’t already) and install Realtek® 8111F-VB-CG LAN driver / kext.

Also download VIA VT1708S kext (VoodooHDA) and copy it to your /System/Library/Extensions folder. Run Kext utility and restart your computer.

Asus os download

If Using SSD Disk install Trim Enabler to enable SSD trim option and keep your SSD drive fast and healthy. Restart again to enable trim.

Asus Bios For Mac Os X

Nvidia GTX 650 card will be recognised as NVIDIA D14P1-30 until you install original Nvidia driver . Also GTX 650 supports Nvidia CUDA drivers mostly used for video editing and games, otherwise you can skip this step.

Restart your computer without of USB Install media.

10.8.4 Update

Before update to latest 10.8.4 back up AppleHDA.kext and VoodooHDA VT1708S.kext from /System/Library/Extensions folder

Asus Bios For Mac Os X 10.8

Update to 10.8.4 via native Software Update, after update put back AppleHDA.kext and VoodooHDA VT1708S.kext in /System/Library/Extensions folder and run kext utility once again.
